Wandering Around Granada – Christmas 2025
Shot with an Olympus E-M10

Due to the climate in Granada, the weeks coming up to Christmas coincide with the Autumnal changes in the colour of the trees. This makes for great photos combining the Christmas lights with the rich colours of the trees.
In the city centre, there are a lot of narrow streets where the light from the setting sun pours down the street.
Or for streets that are hidden from the sun, something high up or at the end of the street can be illuminated and leap out of the scene.
The narrow streets also make a great framing device for compositions.
The ‘one that got away’ is a common theme in my photography. Below is another example where I took several shots and just didn’t get something as good as I was expecting when I took the photo.
As ever in Granada, there’s plenty of grunge to photograph!
On this trip, I finally remembered that with the stabilisation on the E-M10 I can shoot handheld at lower shutter speeds to get some motion blur.
