The area around Ouseburn is a street photographers’ paradise. There’s street art, graffiti and creativity on every corner.

The quayside river walk along the Tyne has been photographed many times but there’s always a new angle or composition that can be explored.

Around the entrance to the High Level Bridge also makes a good place to take photographs. I’m not sure it’s better to go here to take photos when the weather is a little overcast because bright sunshine makes things very contrasty. Don’t look too closely at the first one, the bus is fuzzy from camera shake. Go with a friend who can pull you out of the way of any buses approaching from behind.
